Battle Mechanics: Show

Battles
Throughout the month you will be presented with a variety of creatures and enemies to slay. You may attack by casting spells on posts. Sweet spells are used to heal, salty spells to inflict damage and pepperoni to inflict status effects. Stay tuned for the full spell combat list for the Village of Ghoulcrest!

Hit Points
Each participant's HP is equal to their experience points. Hit zero and you are considered knocked-out for the remainder of the battle, unless revived by another player. Your default objective is to knock out the thread's enemy. Be careful, because you can knock yourself out by casting too many spells.

Using Spells
In order to cast a spell, you must do so through Minus World's spellbook AND provide a post explaining your action. Example: "I have casted Feelin' Fab on @JoshJDubya". If you do not provide this post, your spell will not be counted as part of the battle. Only three spells may be cast on each post at a time, so please don't cast a spell unless you are participating in the battle. Please consult the action list below for spell effects and other actions. Note: Respellent and Whodunnit are banned from use in any battle or PVP thread.

Turn Order
When an enemy appears, it will be accompanied by a post to describe the enemy and the quest details, including rewards for defeating it. You may act on this post. Three players will have to cast spells on its post before it takes its next turn (3 spells cast, each with their corresponding posts as described above).

Other Actions
There are some actions that do not involve the Minus World spellbook, these actions may not be taken if the player is casting a spell that turn. However, Other Actions do not count in advancing the round. These types of actions are used to communicate with the enemy, give candy to it, or scan it to find out more information. Some of these have EXP costs associated with them, so do use them wisely. Please consult the action list below for spell effects and other actions.

Player vs. Player
There will be threads specifically for PVP combat, any spell cast against a player outside of PVP combat will not heal or damage them.

Notes
There is some exp absorption that needs to be accounted for, so after I figure out how much each spell gives when it's casted on you you may find the below Action List to change.

Actions Listing
Sweet (Positive)
Feelin' Fab - Heal an enemy or a player for 25 exp, 100 exp for casting a permanent spell. Please be aware that this will not revive players with the KO status.

Great Sh*t - Buff an enemy or player so that they heal for 6 exp each time the Great Sh*t button is clicked on their post. There is some bonus exp that they will absorb when you cast this spell as well. Please be aware that this will not revive players with the KO status.

Frame That Sh*t - Revive and heal a knocked out player, allowing them to participate in the battle once more.

Salty (Negative)
Size Matters - Deal 50 exp damage to the enemy or player, 200 exp damage for casting a permanent spell.

Whoops! - Blind an enemy or player, causing them to skip their next turn.

Lights Out! - An enemy or player stumbles in the dark, they take 200 exp damage and must skip their next turn.

Vertigo - Deal 250 exp damage to an enemy or a player and make them dizzy, causing any Positive or Sweet spell they cast to do the opposite for the rest of the battle. A permanent spell may only be cast in PVP and is used to instantly knock out a player.

Outta Sight! - Cast this as a permanent spell to revert the enemy or player's action that is associated with this post.

Pepperoni (Status Effects
Autocorrect - Cast this as a permanent spell to change the enemy or player targeted by an action.

Hot Box - Obscure the enemy or player from view, all actions on this post cost 20% more, 50% more for a permanent cast.

Other Actions
Scan - 200 EXP - Scan an enemy to learn more about them. Likes, dislikes, weaknesses, etc.

Give Candy - Give an enemy a piece of candy.

Run Away - Exit combat, preventing any further exp gain or loss.

Pickpocket - 100 EXP - Attempt to steal candy from an enemy. Your percent chance may be revealed with a scan.

Additional Other Actions may be revealed for some characters using Scan.

Upon entering the Graves Manor, you feel a sudden chill in the air and your hairs stand on end. You hear an uproarius laughter fill the room as the door slams shut behind you. One of you tries to open the large doors, but is unsuccessful. "GUESTS," a voice echoes, "SIMPLY SMASHING!" Suddenly appearing before you, you come face to face with Dapper Spook. "Your life force will suit me just fine, gents!"

Defeat the Dapper Spook.

ok guys i gotta theory - their weakness is being trapped in a photo so i reckon we do the unthinkable and use FRAME THAT SH*T on their post!!

If one of our resident master wizards wanna come and fight this ghost that'd be the tops tbh
